Hello there
I assume if you are reading this I might have caught your attention,
My name is Major Eshkar and I have spent ten years in the military where I practiced, managed and remediated cyber security concerns. My time in the military made me think I know it all and have nothing to learn.
Then I finished my service and met the real world.
The main thing I learned from it is that cyber security is EVERYWHERE. There is no organisation no matter big, small, high or low tech that is not concerned (or should be concerned) by cyber security.
However, interestingly enough it seems there was a barrier between need and understanding. As if the cyber security profession existed in a different realm than the business. This is when I realised something was missing, and that something was compromising organisations around the world.
With the aim of finding the missing link I turned my attention to study business and graduated with an MBA from the esteemed Kellogg Northwestern University, where I learned as much as I could about cyber security – but from the BUSINESS perspective.
I was lucky enough to meet some of the most impressive people, impressive managers and future leaders throughout my degree and spent that time understanding them, their needs and their outlook with the aim of creating a framework that would support the businesses not impediment them.
In this blog I will write articles about subjects that are important to the business. From privacy to budgets, from vendors to questionnaires, from secure development to privacy and anything in between.
Hope to see you soon,
Maj. Eshkar
